Enjoying an amazing birds-eye view of this strikingly beautiful landscape!
There is something mysterious and magical about Lake Magadi. Rarely visited because of its remoteness, Lake Magadi is Kenya’s most southerly of the Rift Valley lakes. The shallow waters are almost entirely covered by a thick encrustation of soda that supports thousands of lesser flamingo, and gives the landscape a strange moon-like feel.
This is one of the hottest and most hostile places in Kenya, Lake Magadi is also Africa’s largest source of soda ash, an industry that is vital for the regions economy and employment.
