Tropic Air has been carrying out its own aircraft maintenance for the last 12 years, and has invested in expertise, tooling and spare parts, to ensure that our aircraft are maintained to the best possible levels for absolute safety.

The department is headed by our qualified engineer Partick Irwin, who has 35 years of experience working on various aircraft types.  All scheduled maintenance tasks are completed in-house, which covers both minor and major airframe inspections, piston engine inspections, turbine engine PT6A series Hot Section Inspections, airframe internal and external refurbishments.  

We have a team of eight dedicated employees, and provide opportunities for training and licensing wherever possible.
