Across the African continent we are also experienced in helicopter aerial photography, geo-survey and mountain rescues.

Best Experiences Kenya | Helicopter Hire Kenya | Film Making Kenya Opportunities for aerial filming in East Africa are next to none, and Tropic Air provides an outstanding aerial filming platform for wildlife documentaries and feature films. We have been fortunate to work closely with award winning aerial camera specialist Simon Werry, producing more than 10 sequences for the BBC’s ‘Life’ series. Two of these were filmed in Ethiopia - the Lamageyer (bearded vulture) sequence for ‘Birds’ and the Simien Wolves sequence in ‘Hunters Hunted’. Other works include the aerial sequences for BBC’s ‘Living with Elephants’ trilogy, ‘Nature’s Great Events’ and ‘Africa’. Most this filming work for BBC has been done using a helicopter-mounted cineflex camera. Tropic Air was also responsible for the aerial shots within the fantastic ‘African Cats’ Disney Production launched last year (Earth Day 2011). We have also worked on sequences for the Hollywood production of ‘Clash of the Titans’ in Ethiopia with a special camera called a Wescam Eclipse. For more information, please contact us
