Kenyan Wildlife Conservation with helicopter support

Being located in the heart of Kenya, neighboring some of Kenya’s most successful wildlife conservation areas, Tropic Air is readily available and willing to support wildlife conservation initiatives.  We are regularly involved in supporting wildlife translocations, darting, collaring and poacher incidents – working closely with the Kenya Wildlife Service and other wildlife organisations / conservancies.

Our most recent task involved the darting of 10 elephants from the Tropic Air helicopter in the Maasai Mara.  They were fitted with satellite tracking devices to help better understand their movements with regard to human settlement in the wider Mara and Serengeti ecosystem.

Ever year Tropic Air works closely with the Kenya Wildlife Service on mountain clean-up operations, providing a helicopter free of charge, to transport rubbish off the mountain. 

Tropic Air also supports Mount Kenya Trust’s annual fundraising ‘10 to 4’ mountain bicycle race – a conservation initiative dedicated to the preservation of the Mount Kenya forest.  We provide a free helicopter for medical evacuation services during the event.
