A pioneer in heli-safaris, Tropic Air specialises in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. 100’s of hours have been spent exploring the most spectacular and remote mountains, valleys, forests and deserts. Across the African continent we are also experienced in helicopter aerial photography, geo-survey and mountain rescues.

On the foundation of our successful fixed wing operation, Tropic Air has been operating helicopters throughout East Africa for the last 8 years. Our trips are customised and personal, with every minute, hour, day promising to be excitement, touching and fulfilling.  

We are also extremely proficient in aerial filming – having supported on countless occasions the filming for both documentary and feature films. For several years we have worked side-by-side with the British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK), supporting their training activities.  More recently we have progressed into the world of geo survey.  We also carry our heli-rescues and medical evacuations - including some taxing rescues off Mount Kenya.
