Fixed Wing

Fixed Wing Maintenance is headed by licensed aircraft engineer Patrick Irwin, with a team of 4 experienced and qualified aircraft maintenance technicians. All scheduled and line maintenance of airframes, piston engines, PT6A series and Hot Section Inspections are all carried out in-house, plus airframe internal and external refurbishments.

Helicopter Maintenance is managed by Jean-Dominique (JD), who has extensive experience working with Eurocopters. Two additional trained and certified engineers work alongside JD. All scheduled and Line maintenance of helicopter and engine inspections are carried out in our hangers.

Tropic Air seeks all possible opportunities for training and licensing of its personnel wherever possible. We welcome interns to learn first-hand in our hanger. In addition, we recently donated an old Piper Aztec to the Eldoret Aviation Training Institute.
