400kgs of building materials long lined onto the peaks of Mount Kenya

Long-lining 400kgs of building materials onto the peaks of Mount Kenya to rebuild Kami Hut -located at 14,560 feet on the northern face of Batian peak.  To carry this task out, at such an altitude, is nothing short of challenging, and requires exceptional piloting skill and deep knowledge of the mountain climate and terrain.

Kami hut was the spot where a Bell 47 attempted to land in 1970 to carry out a rescue mission, and crashed killing the pilot.  The aircraft remains still lie scattered here.

To capture this story, the making of a documentary film is underway.  Kami hut will be removed at the end of the shoot.
